About the authors

Daniel McNaughton, founder of Learning to Follow Ministries, is a consultant, coach, and trainer who helps leaders develop healthy, discipling, and multiplying churches. He planted Spring Valley Community Church, Royersford, Pennsylvania, serving as Lead Pastor from 2005 to 2011. Daniel was a professor at Valley Forge Christian College for 12 years and also served in staff pastor roles for more than 10 years in Boston, Buffalo, Toronto, and Pittsburg. He earned his BA in Biblical Studies from Evangel University and MATS and PhD degrees in Old Testament at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and University of St. Michael’s College at the University of Toronto respectively. He has been married to Amy for over 30 years and has two adult children, Cherisse and Seth.

Bryan Koch has served as Lead Pastor for Glad Tidings Church in Reading, Pennsylvania for over 20 years. Before being called to the ministry, Bryan was a professional baseball player in the Chicago White Sox organization. Drawing on his experiences as an athlete, husband and father, Bryan communicates with an authentic, open style that allows him to be transparent and real with people. He is a frequent conference speaker, specializing in training churches in leadership development. However, Bryan’s true passion is helping people become fully devoted followers of Jesus.

Claude Valdes, Jr., spent over a decade in youth ministry and is currently the Executive Pastor at Word of Life Assembly of God in Baldwinsville, New York. He is a frequent speaker for youth events and youth worker conferences, communicating from a Christ-centered perspective with transparency and humor. Claude also consults for churches and youth groups in the area of organizational leadership. He is addicted to the local church and seeing it function as God intended. Claude has dedicated his life to learning to follow Jesus and helping others do the same.

Ron Heitman is the Lead Pastor of Evangel Church in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. He has served as the chief editor and author of The Miracle Study Bible, and co-authored Youth Ministry Institute, which has been used throughout the US, Latin America, Asia Pacific, and the former Soviet Union to train leaders to make disciples of the next generation. Ron is a creative communicator who is passionate about discipleship, leadership, and missions.

Christine Kreisher, a life coach and speaker, received her training at Coach University and the Pioneer Coach Training Institute. She has been the featured speaker for numerous local, regional, and statewide organizations. Christine joined the staff of Glad Tidings Church to be their Director of Family Ministry in 2007 where she works with hundreds of volunteers to create relevant environments for families to learn the life-changing truths of God’s Word. One of her greatest passions is working with ministry leaders and entrepreneurs to develop creative, out of the box strategies for growth and success. She is the author of the Follow 4:Kidz K-to-5th grade curriculum.
